CHI Companies is an affiliate of REIC Specialty, a fast growing, elite equipment rental company specializing in providing our customers temporary heat, cooling, and dehumidification equipment. We currently have 13 locations and operate under several brand names including Construction Heaters, Inc, Cahill, and Total Construction Rentals.

A Typical Day Might Include the Following:

  • Load trucks for days deliveries
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Perform field repairs on equipment using existing and/or learned skills
  • Deliver and install heating, cooling, and dehumidification equipment to customer sites
  • Present yourself in a professional manor

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a DOT medical card
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and commit to a drug-free workplace
  • Must be willing to travel out of state and overnight when needed (up to 50% during
    winter season)
  • Have basic mechanical/electrical aptitude

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to take instruction and understand goals and processes
  • Ability to work fluctuating schedules which include some Saturdays
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and the ability to perform tasks such as
    walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling and reaching.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds several times throughout a shift

HVAC Service Technician

  • Chaska MN
  • Full Time

The HVAC/R Technician role is primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to a variety of HVAC Rental Grade equipment including commercial air conditioning, spot coolers, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps and Desiccant & Refrigeration dehumidification equipment. Mentoring junior service personnel, in addition to helping resolve service issues over the phone with onsite personnel.

We rented Cahill heaters as part of our winterization plan. The Cahill heaters helped us power through our winter operations when the temperature consistently dipped below -30 degrees Celsius. Cahill’s technicians were always on site when needed and also performing routine service checks. The heaters barely had to be taken offline and helped keep our project running. We received a better service response with Cahill, with a telephone operator available round the clock to perform any troubleshooting if needed. Cahill’s service is a vast improvement from other vendors we have used in the past.

I wish we had used Cahill’s flameless heaters all along. The Jet Heat Heater is absolutely, without a doubt, a brilliant heater. They have 20″ of static pressure, and you can run duct 500′ with this pressure. We rented 13 of Cahill’s flameless heaters for the American Dream in the winter of 2018. It helped us power through winter construction with no issues. After calculating the loads, we ran a flexible duct with a 3″ crosshair. The flexible duct against the outer wall was hot, warming the cold outer exterior walls, which were a very large surface area that would transmit cold into the building. The building was nice and warm for the winter. Hands down, Cahill offers the best heating solutions for big construction jobs. The diesel burns with the highest efficiency with no fouling gases.
